MISSION
Ka Pā Hula Nā Manu Hoʻoheno Aloha exists to cultivate meaningful relationships through the study of hula, nurturing haumāna in ʻike, aloha, humility, and cultural responsibility while honoring the lineage from which these teachings come.
VISION
We envision a thriving community of haumāna who live the values of hula with humility, integrity, and aloha, strengthening relationships with one another, with Hawaiian culture, with the natural world, and with future generations through lifelong learning and service.
PHILOSOPHY
We believe meaningful learning begins with meaningful relationships.
Before reaching for complexity, we seek understanding.
Before seeking performance, we seek purpose.
Before mastering choreography, we develop character.
Before teaching movement, we nurture connection.
Hula is not something to be collected. It is something to be cultivated.
We believe that when our relationships with ʻike, our kumu, one another, Hawaiian culture, and the natural world are rooted in aloha and humility, learning follows naturally.
